Known for it’s contemporary take on classic Asian dishes, Studio East is now pleased to open its doors to private events designed to showcase our unique cuisine and beverage program for your next group gathering. Whether it be for a corporate luncheon meeting, a family celebration, chef-lead offsite catering, or an intimate tasting menu experience in our brand new underground dining room, we have many service options to suit your group size, budget, and desired culinary experience.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU? 

We have partnered with celebrated local chef Craig Flinn to bring a heightened level of experiential dining to your private dinner at Studio East, your home or offsite event. Chef Craig brings us his truly unique style of hospitality, creating custom menus driven by the seasons and locally sourced produce.

For your catered event you will meet with Craig and design the menu that is right for you and your guests. For private functions inside Studio East, Chef Guy Pratt and his team, along with co-owner Andre Pratt who runs the dining rooms with his experienced staff, are ready to deliver you and your guests a truly exceptional dining experience.

Studio East has become a cherished neighbourhood restaurant. Since relocating from Cunard to Agricola Street in the summer of 2024, our guests have continued to appreciate the casual, approachable, and friendly nature of our hospitality. Our restaurant vibe is welcoming and light-hearted, a perfect venue for groups both large and small.

Booking the Bar

A perfect space for stand up receptions and informal gatherings, the “bar side” of the Studio East dining space offers local beer, wine, and creative cocktails alongside a fun-tastic appetizer menu you can build to your own taste.

Booking the Restaurant

The Studio East main dining room can accommodate sit-down dinner parties for up to 80 people and standing receptions for 100.

The Studio Underground

You can now experience amazing culinary creations in the Studio East Underground dining room! This secret room, inspired by “speakeasy” pop up restaurants around the world, is available to those who desire something you just can’t find anywhere else in this city. Custom created tasting menus paired with extraordinary wine selections and premium spirits await.

The Underground is also available for daytime meetings/luncheons. Functioning as a board room as well as your dining room, it’s a perfect place for presentations and private business meetings. Equipped with a mounted HD monitor for PowerPoints or other visuals, you’ll have all you need for that impactful presentation before enjoying our Asian gastropub creations! (Half or full days available)

Offsite Catering 

Looking for an intimate dining experience in your home? Our partner Chef Craig Flinn is an expert in creating a custom, seasonally inspired menu for whatever occasion you have in mind. Ideal for groups of 10 to 20, these meals are a “farm to table” culinary adventure but also casual, interactive, and welcoming. Craig will make sure your evening is truly memorable.

We can also service catered events of nearly any size by partnering with our mother company, Chef Inspired. Our experienced team can help you execute your vision for 50 to 500 people…go ahead and challenge us, because we can make it happen! We even have a food truck that can bring an extra celebratory vibe to your event.

Dinner menu titled "Dinner Menu 1" priced at $54.95 per person, listing appetizers including Daily Soup, Duck Tourtiere Spring Roll, Spring Roll Salad, and Lobster & Shrimp Dumplings; entrees such as Punjabi Butter Chicken, Bulgogi Beef Short Rib, Char Siu Pork Tenderloin, and Pan Seared Atlantic Halibut Loin; and desserts including Chai Crème Brûlée, Poached Pear Turnover, and Our Signature Pandan Cheesecake.

Booking Parameters

Daytime meetings or luncheons

  • 3-course menus chosen from reduced a-la-carte lunch menu: $34.95pp. (Menu 1) or $44.95pp. (Menu 2).

  • Daily room charge $250 (Includes coffee break and snacks)

  • No minimum charges applied for day usage

  • Use of TV monitor for videos and presentations

  • Dedicated server

Evening dinner events

  • 3-course menu minimum chosen from our special Underground selections $54.95pp. {Menu 1} or $69.95pp. {Menu 2}.

  • Sunday through Thursday room minimum: $1,600.

  • Friday/Saturday room minimum: $2,100.

  • Minimums are net sales including food and beverages (exclusive of HST and gratuity).

  • Curated tasting menus of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 courses available upon request and shall include a meeting with the chef for menu design, if requested.

  • One dedicated server (groups up to 10), additional server for groups 11+.

  • Wine server for multi-course tasting menus with wine pairings.
